Save on water!

Wash your baby in the sink!! LOL just had to share this photo with you guys. My baby took his bath in the sink, a whole maybe 2 gallons of water used. Great way to save on water!

Cloth Diapers are they worth it???

Yes, I will say over and over, they are worth it! Not only because of the financial aspect of it, but also the enviromental part of them. I started use cloth diapers, (bum genius, and fuzzi bunz) when I became a SAHM full time. I wanted to save money, and make less trips out to get "diapers". So I bought 1 set of cloth diapers for Jayden, and LOVED it, and it saved us so much money. Not to mention trash. Of course everyone we knew was saying things like "gross" "I'm not changing them" you say it I heard it. Then they realized that the "new" pocket diapers are very easy, not like the old cloth diapers our parents used. But I will say that the old style cloth diaper, with cover and pins, or ties, is just as good, and we own them to. Washing is a breeze, and it really only add maybe 2 extra loads to my list, not that bad. What I loved the most about using cloth diapers, is that I was able to save the diapers from my 1st son, to use on my 2nd son!! SO I really am getting my money's worth with these diapers! I admit we do use sposies from time to time, especially long car rides, or nanas house since she won't use the cloth, but when we are happy at home, the baby wears his cloth and enjoys it.

If you are ever considering or have a expecting friend, I recommend checking out cottonbabies.com They have everything you would need to start your adventure in cloth. Its a very colorful adventure, and you have so very many choices. Also included on their site are swim diapers, organic diapers, potty training supplies, and many other parenting gear items.

Shopping deals from 6/14 Kroger & Publix

I seriously have not done much grocery shopping other then my fresh fruits and veggies, but I get those at my local farmers market, since they are way cheaper then the grocery stores right now.

I stopped by Kroger and Publix yesterday. Here is all that I got!
Spent: $32.xx
Saved: $63.xx
Percentage Saved: 66%

Not to bad! If you want to get on deals like this and are local (Fairview, TN) I teach a coupon class/frugal class here once a month, so just email me and we can arrange a time to attend a class with me. If you are not local, I recommend looking into this site http://afullcup.com You will find your local grocery stores listed, and they break it down to the "shopping lists" with which coupons to use, and which deals are the best. If you are a southern folk as I am, check out this site http://www.southernsavers.com/ She breaks things down very very well according to the "southern" grocery stores. I use her site as a reference! I am not a great blogger like some of these gals are.

Forgive me for being a horrible blogger, I just can't find the time to sit long enough, not being bothered by the kids, so when I can I will post my deals..

Happy couponing, happy week!

I seriously have not had to do much shopping, other then hitting up the local farmers market for fresh fruits and veggies.
